When the client first approached us, the construction of the house had already begun according to the aesthetics of the previous owner.  The new owner wished a complete renovation of the existing house in order to make his dreams come true and fulfill his expectations.

The general spatial configuration from the previous design had to be retained for the organization of programs in the plan. The volume, the facades and the materials were completely redesigned. We opted to carve a series of openings out of the main mass. Cuts were made at acute angles and the windows were set within a slight tilt. By partially masking the windows, we were able to create shadows that minimize solar heat gain while allowing for diffused light to enter the house. On the other hand, the south elevation (facing the pool and the main courtyard) benefits from deep set openings and balconies that maximize both views and shade. The exterior volume consists of a white orthogonal mass sitting on a stone plinth base.

The stone wall, the white walls, the curved openings and the PVC building façade create a playful contrast energizing the in between spaces.

The combined building will become a spectrum of optimal conditions: From open and flexible plans to tailor made units, public programs to private residences, vibrant urban space to peaceful green gardens and from educational spaces to the first e-sports arena in Greece.

Works on the long-awaited Panathinaikos football stadium to be constructed in the western Athens neighbourhood of Votanikos, together with a multi-use sports complex are set to begin after the Athens Municipality, the development & investments ministry, Panathinaikos FC and AO and the Eleonas investment entity made up of Alpha and Pireos Banks signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.

“Today is a historic moment for Panathinaikos. A decades-long dream for the sports club to acquire a home is being materialized. The sport club, the heart of the group, will finally acquire the facilities that suit its history as the most diverse club in Greece,” said majority shareholder Giannis Alafouzos.

The design introduces a space in between, used both as a bridge and as transition between the exterior space and the interior spaces. This space creates a ‘Spatial opportunity’ for a range of activities, and at the same time can also take up the function of the nearby space.

Spaces with specific and distinct functions may be referred to as “Static spaces”. Whereas, the spaces which connect them are “Dynamic spaces” as they are constantly evolving.

The introduced transition space helps a lot more in climatology aspects, taking into consideration the topography and the climatic conditions of the particular region.

Τhe delivery of ICU beds in Evangelismos Athens General Hospital is underway. 8 new ICU were delivered to Evangelismos Athens General Hospital. The other 25 are under construction and will be delivered before the end of April 2021.

The state of the art infrastructure, the cutting edge technology, the specialized personnel and the collaboration with other transplant centers will create a complete framework for all patients.

The ONTRC is going to be a state of the art construction project of a total budget of €100,000,000. It will be equipped with cutting edge technology of more than €30,000,000 worth. The 4 floor building of the ONASSIS NATIONAL TRANSPLANT CENTER will be 7,000 square meters. It will be equipped with 47 new beds, 33 of which exclusively for children and 12 intensive care beds for children, 5 of which exclusively for infants. The construction is estimated to be concluded in 3 years.
