The project involves the construction of two football fields at the PAE AEK training center in the Spata area:
• A central UEFA Category 1 football stadium with a seating capacity of 1,100 spectators.
• A football field with metal stands, accommodating 200 spectators.

The construction of these two football fields is part of a broader project to expand the PAE AEK training center and create the most modern training facility in Greece.

Development of a State-of-the-Art Training Facility
UEFA Category 1 Stadium & Hybrid Turf Technology
Comprehensive Infrastructure & Support Facilities

The project includes the construction of a modern stadium with a capacity of 1,100 spectators, meeting all UEFA standards. It will be able to host matches of the K-20 team (Youth League) as well as official friendly matches of the AEK first team.

According to current regulations for friendly matches and Youth League games (Regulations of the UEFA Youth League, 2018/19 – IV – Stadium Infrastructure/ Article 25 Stadiums / 25.01: Unless stipulated otherwise in these regulations, matches in the competition must be played in stadiums which meet the structural criteria of Category 1, as defined in the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations), the stadium must comply with the specifications of Category 1 stadiums.

The field will feature a hybrid turf system, incorporating a turf reinforcement system. This hybrid turf consists of natural grass cultivated on a sandy soil substrate, where a specially designed synthetic turf has been pre-installed, making it ideal for professional football use.

Additionally, the project includes the construction of a football field with metal stands for 200 spectators, which will be used for training sessions across all team divisions. This field will have the same type of turf as the main stadium but will be soil-free (“washed”) for optimized training conditions.

The project will also involve:
• Installation of new floodlight towers.
• Construction of perimeter fencing around the fields.
• Development of auxiliary facilities (water tanks, relocation of the desalination unit, storage area for field maintenance equipment, etc.).
• Creation of new outdoor parking spaces.
• Landscaping and green areas.
• Construction of a new external perimeter fence.

This expansion aims to enhance the club’s training facilities, providing state-of-the-art infrastructure to support the development of young and professional players.
